After you buy a boat or better still before you buy a boat you need training.
It's your skill and knowledge that will give you the enjoyment and safety you want out of paddling. Statistics illustrate this - as we lose 5 to 6 untrained paddlers a year, however we have lost only 1 trained paddler in 23 years. Training gives you confidence in your own ability, will increase your enjoyment and let you do things in your kayak that you did not think possible.

It takes time to develop skills, knowledge and experience. This is why we have started the training club. You have experienced and qualified instructors that will guide you through all the skills necessary to be a competent safe paddler. You can go on day paddles led by instructors, weekends away and longer expeditions. You also learn what gear you need and how to use it. Have a look at getting started as this will help all new paddlers

If you are an experienced paddler but want to gain better skills or formal accreditation the training club can help you as well.

Privet Lessons 
If you want privet lessons with Les Allen call Les on 041 9900 715. The cost is $40.00 per hour and I will take up to 4 people. These lessons can cover anything from advanced skills, rolling, trip planning, basic skills or any other part of sea kayaking.
